Painted from memories and photo’s of our stay in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where we travelled with friends to visit the Amish community.

I was struck by the peaceful, unspoiled rural landscape, and the equally serene way of life that the Amish protect so carefully in their own unassuming manner.

I hope this scene captures their community life adequately.
