Locals in Nottingham might recognise the scene as the clock tower of the Trent building on the Nottingham University campus, over looking a frozen lake.

Although many of my paintings tend to be snowy scenes, this was in particular was deliberate as it was commissioned for the wedding invitations of my eldest daughter, who got married at the Trent building in December. There was no snow but the day after the wedding there was a hard frost which made for some excellent photos beside the lake.

The painting normally hangs on her wall, but was on display at the wedding and made an appearance at their tenth anniversary party.
