Many years ago a friend of mine commented that too many of my paintings were imaginary landscapes, and I should paint an actual scene.

So I painted this from a photo of a hotel near to where he lives in Czechia.

He didn’t recognise it. I also painted a church in his next village. He didn’t recognise that either. Not the best outcome…
